Cheap brass knuckles are most of what we carry. 48 of the 52 pieces in our brass knuckles collection cost under $15 today. Two of those are knuckle knives, which leaves 46 knuckles, and 38 of them cost under $10. For most buyers we'd pick the Clockwork Grip Steampunk Knuckle Duster ($11.99). It is listed as black steel, 11.3 oz and 4.75 x 2.75 inches, and buyers spent more on it in the last 30 days than on any other knuckle under $15. Skip it if you want real brass or a lighter, smaller piece. Both are covered below.

How we ranked these
Every product carries a 30-day score: the dollars buyers spent on it across our store network in the last 30 days. We took every in-stock piece in the brass knuckles collection priced under $15 and sorted by that score. The ten numbered picks are in strict score order. The brass pieces are grouped separately, also in score order. These are purchases people made with their own money. We did not test anything hands-on and nothing here is sponsored. The two knuckle knives under $15 are left out because they have blades.

What each price band gets you
- Under $7: ten pieces. Nine are the compact steel frames at $6.99, plus the Magnum Tribute double-finger steel piece ($5.99).
- $7.99: eighteen pieces. Eleven are sold as belt buckles or paperweights by name, including the Calm Anchor brass piece.
- $8 to $10: ten pieces, including the two themed brass knuckles and a copper skull piece.
- $10 to $15: eight knuckles, plus the two knuckle knives. All four steel pieces that list 10 to 12 oz are in this band.
Buyers who want the heaviest listed steel should expect to pay $11 to $14. Under $8 you pay mainly for color and format.
How to choose cheap brass knuckles
Start with the material line in the listing. Wikipedia's entry on brass knuckles notes that, despite the name, they are often made of steel, wood, aluminium, plastics or carbon fiber, and that some companies make them as belt buckles or novelty paperweights. Our stock under $15 looks the same. Of the 46 knuckles, 15 list steel, 18 list only "metal" with no alloy named, and 3 list brass. The others list bronze, copper, titanium or carbon fiber, or give no material at all.
Then compare listed weights. Weights are listed for some pieces only, so compare named pieces. The Steamforge Sentinel (12 oz), Clockwork Grip (11.3 oz), Silent Authority (11 oz) and Silent Geometry (10 oz) are the heavy end. The Cord-Locked and GripMaster list 5.5 oz at 4.6 inches long. At equal size, brass is denser than carbon steel: the Canadian Conservation Institute gives 8.52 g/cm³ for cartridge brass and 7.86 for carbon steel. None of the three brass pieces under $15 lists a weight, though, and we can't tell you on paper how they compare.
Check size before you order. The full-size frames here list 4.5 to 4.75 inches long, and the compact steel frames list 3.875 x 2.125 inches. Those are outer dimensions. The listings do not give finger-hole sizes. Our brass knuckles sizing guide explains how to measure your hand. Check your state and city rules before ordering.
