The best karambit knives ranked by orders across every type sold: fixed and neck karambits from $9, spring-assisted and automatic karambits.

By South Summit Team. Updated September 12, 2026. Every pick was in stock at the listed price when this was updated.

The karambit is a curved, claw-shaped blade with a finger ring, and this store sells it in every mechanism: fixed and neck knives, spring-assisted folders, side-opening automatics, and out-the-front. This ranks the karambits in stock by orders across all of them and explains what the shape does. Background on the design is in what is a karambit knife.

How we ranked these

Every product on southsummit.com carries a 30-day order score recalculated daily from real orders across our store network. The picks below are the in-stock items with the highest score on the day of the last update, in that order, and each one is checked against its listed specifications. This is not a hands-on torture test and nothing here is sponsored; it is what buyers chose with their own money, explained.

2. Shadow Talon Conceal-Carry Karambit Neck Knife - Black Polymer

Shadow Talon Conceal-Carry Karambit Neck Knife - Black Polymer

The best-selling fixed karambit: 3.75-inch blade, polymer handle, neck-carry sheath, about $9.

The curved karambit edge is a hooking and pulling cutter. It is a specialist shape; buy it for that job or for the design, not as a general slicer.

The handle is ABS plastic, which is how a full-size knife reaches this price. Plastic flexes, and flex is where misfires start, so keep the screws tight and treat it as a light-duty knife.

At 3.75-inch blade, 7.5 inches overall it sits in the mid-size class, which makes it the everyday-carry class: enough blade to cut, small enough to forget in a pocket.

What the curve is for

The inside edge of the curve hooks and pulls: cord, strapping, netting, cardboard, seatbelt webbing. The ring goes on the index or little finger so the knife cannot be dropped and can be rotated in the hand. It is a poor slicer and a poor piercer, so buy it for hooking cuts or for the design, not as a general knife.

Which type

Fixed and neck karambits ($9 to $19) are the simplest and the most-ordered as a group: no mechanism, a sheath, a cord. Spring-assisted and automatic karambits ($8 to $13) fold and pocket-carry; the automatics are regulated like other automatics. The OTF karambit fires the curved blade out of the handle bottom so the curve faces the right way when held by the ring; it is the category best-seller and the most expensive. The three OTF versions are compared in best karambit OTF knives on Best OTF Knives.

Before you order

Karambits are fixed or automatic knives under most rules and are restricted accordingly, sometimes by name. Check your state and city; this page is not legal advice. Automatic-knife rules with citations: Self Defense Supply state guide.
