Fixed Blade Knives: Why Serious Knife Carriers Choose Them

Choosing the Right Fixed Blade Size

Under 3.5 inches: concealable, great for precision tasks and EDC. 3.5–5 inches: the most versatile range — camp knives, hunting knives, field blades. 5–7 inches: serious field and bush knives with enough blade for harder use. Over 7 inches: Bowie territory — powerful and presence-commanding. Start in the middle range if you're unsure and work outward once you know what you actually need.
